Psychedelic medicine, their benefits for the living and the dying, and how to advocate for them.
Research involving psychedelic use for terminally ill patients is still in its early stages, but studies show promising results. Anecdotally, I've seen clients utilize plant medicine and psychedelics to stay sober, reduce anxiety, treat medicine-resistant depression, and make peace with their childhood abusers.
I also work with people who want to explore psychedelics way before a terminal diagnosis. With the right set and setting, it has helped them experience death before death to reduce existential angst.
Which Psychedelics Reduce Death Anxiety?
If you're interested in exploring this type of medicine, I recommend you investigate the laws where you live. You would also benefit from finding or purchasing drug-testing services. (Test it before you ingest it!)
Check with your medical doctor about possible risks. Working with a licensed facilitator or therapist as well as a trip sitter or death doula is also wise. Teamwork makes the dream work! (My clients love my mantras.)
